Background. The high social significance of the results of the pharmaceutical industry is determined by the processes of development, production and marketing of pharmaceutical products. Currently, the Russian pharmaceutical market is one of the most dynamically developing. At the same time, a qualitative analysis of its indicators reveals some development problems that can have a destabilizing effect on the industry as a whole. Their understanding is necessary for development of recommendations on leveling of negative consequences.
Materials and methods. The data of the state statistics service and the data of analytical marketing agencies of the Russian pharmaceutical market were used in the preparation of this study. Methods of information analysis, induction and comparative data analysis were used to assess and predict the state of the pharmaceutical market. In the process of writing the article used research methods: General scientific (analysis and synthesis, deduction and induction, abstract, logical, monographic), special (economic and statistical).
Results. The analysis of dynamics of development of the Russian pharmaceutical market allowed to reveal positive and negative factors of development of the pharmaceutical market. Also conclusions about trends and prospects of development of the pharmaceutical market are drawn.
Conclusions. The pharmaceutical market has a positive dynamic of its absolute annual growth with the tendency of its slowdown, the dominance of imported products and pharmaceutical substances, the presence of problems with the demand for domestic pharmaceutical products and the regulation of their quality, as well as noncompliance with the goals and means of regulatory policy.
